Team Lead

About the role

As a Team Lead at Activate’s Coquitlam location, you will be the front‑line manager of the store, creating excitement for guests and ensuring smooth daily operations. Reporting to the Store Leader, you will coach Game Facilitators, handle customer escalations, and keep every game room ready for play.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and emails, troubleshoot booking issues and secure reservations.
• Perform check‑in overrides, process daily cash‑out sheets, create and receive invoices, and handle payments.
• Resolve customer complaints, escalating to the Store Leader when necessary.
• Communicate room status and facility updates to staff and guests.
• Train new employees, coach existing team members, and delegate tasks throughout each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of game rooms, coordinate cleaning, painting, and repairs.
• Track and manage inventory of maintenance supplies, merchandise, and vending products.
• Identify maintenance needs and schedule appointments with the Store Leader.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a similar customer‑facing or retail leadership role (preferred).
• Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Positive, problem‑solver mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team, coach staff, and handle escalations calmly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
