Team Lead – Interior Design & Architecture

About the role

You will join a collaborative design studio that delivers interior design and architectural solutions for complex, large‑scale projects. As a Team Lead you will own projects of 75,000 sq ft. and above, guiding them from concept through construction while mentoring a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead concept development, visioning sessions, and overall design strategy.
• Supervise production of drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Review work for code compliance, technical accuracy, and design integrity.
• Manage client relationships, presentations, and consultant coordination.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, resource forecasting, and contract administration.
• Coordinate site activities, construction processes, and ensure seamless communication among stakeholders.
• Drive team meetings, performance feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support marketing efforts and contribute to studio culture and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Architectural Technology.
• Professional designation (e.g., NCIDQ) preferred.
• Proven experience leading mid‑ to large‑scale projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards.
• Excellent client‑facing and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and inspire a high‑performing team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in CAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with sustainable design frameworks such as LEED, WELL, and Fitwel.

What we offer

• Salary range of $90,000 – $115,000 CAD per year, based on experience.
