Team Lead – Etobicoke Branch

About the role

VPI is seeking a permanent full‑time Team Lead for its Etobicoke branch. The role supports VPI’s mission to provide exceptional employment services and a safe, supportive environment for clients seeking sustainable employment.

Key responsibilities

• Represent VPI at community meetings and promote the organization’s presence among partners.
• Act as backup for all branch positions, including Branch Manager and Employment Counsellors, ensuring continuity of service.
• Oversee staff training in line with Learning and Development plans.
• Handle administrative duties such as file audits, request reviews, and follow‑up activities.
• Identify local labor market trends, business opportunities, and report them to the Branch Manager.
• Promote VPI programs to community groups, social service agencies, and other stakeholders to meet program targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with community partners to achieve Ministry and funder targets.
• Facilitate information and training sessions both on‑site and off‑site.
• Coordinate with Employer Services and Community Partnerships to help clients secure meaningful employment.
• Manage staff scheduling to ensure coverage according to client needs and funder guidelines.
• Support staff development through action‑plan creation and other duties as assigned.
