Talent Specialist (HR)

About the role

The Art Gallery of Ontario is seeking a collaborative, people‑focused Talent Specialist to drive recruitment, onboarding, and employee development across the museum. This full‑time position plays a pivotal role in delivering talent management programs that support the AGO’s strategic priorities and enhance the overall employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for a wide range of positions, including hard‑to‑fill, high‑volume, internships, and international hires.
• Partner with hiring managers to design recruitment strategies, source candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring decisions.
• Design and deliver onboarding and orientation programs that foster positive employee experiences.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, performance management processes, and talent development activities.
• Assist with workforce and succession planning to ensure organizational growth.
• Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records using ATS, HR databases, and performance‑management platforms.
• Provide guidance on employment legislation, collective agreements, and HR best practices.
