About the role

Shop Makers is looking for a Talent & Recruitment Coordinator to lead full‑cycle hiring across its growing retail network in Canada and the United States. This hybrid position (2‑3 days onsite in Mt Pleasant, Vancouver) will ensure a smooth, equitable, and data‑driven hiring experience for all candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for retail, leadership, and support office roles in Canada and the U.S.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
• Build and maintain candidate pipelines through job boards, networking, referrals, and community outreach.
• Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and assess candidates to identify qualified talent.
• Coordinate interview schedules and ensure a professional candidate experience.
• Support offer preparation, candidate communication, and pre‑employment processes.
• Create and nurture talent pools for frequently hired positions to reduce time‑to‑fill.
• Identify and implement improvements to recruitment workflows, tools, and templates.
• Maintain consistent interview guides, evaluation tools, and scalable hiring practices.

Required skills

• Salary $55,000‑$60,000 CAD per year, based on experience.
