Talent Acquisition Team Lead

About the role

Hydro One is seeking a Talent Acquisition Team Lead to drive recruitment excellence across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will partner with business leaders, ensure compliance with collective agreements, and shape the talent acquisition strategy for a leading electricity provider.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with internal clients to deliver value‑added recruitment recommendations while adhering to collective agreements, policies and legislation.
• Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager in designing and updating recruitment and onboarding policies.
• Lead and execute talent acquisition projects, ensuring stakeholder alignment and timely delivery.
• Coach, develop and monitor a team of recruiters, providing feedback, quality checks and performance improvement.
• Manage high‑priority or confidential searches and step in for critical hiring escalations.
• Train and onboard new talent acquisition staff and deliver selection program training.
• Conduct HR case monitoring, data integrity reviews and provide corrective coaching.
• Serve as first‑level escalation point for complex union or pay‑related issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading recruitment teams in a unionized environment.
• Strong knowledge of collective agreements, HR legislation and recruitment best practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop recruiters.
• Analytical mindset for monitoring metrics and ensuring data quality.
