Support Coordinator

About the role

The Support Coordinator joins the Arts Instructional Support and Information Technology team at UBC to provide technical assistance and training to faculty, staff, and students. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Arts Learning Technology Support, the role focuses on enhancing the use of teaching and learning tools across the Faculty of Arts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one and group training sessions on a variety of instructional technologies.
• Create and maintain course sites, websites, assessments, and instructional videos.
• Develop and update training materials and user guides.
• Provide timely technical support for administrative and teaching tools.
• Consult with instructors and staff to resolve technology‑related issues.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative partners.
• Experience in higher‑education instructional technology support.
• Ability to develop clear instructional resources and conduct effective training.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common teaching and learning platforms used at UBC.
• Experience creating digital instructional content (e.g., videos, assessments).
