Supervisor – Truck Drivers

About the role

The Supervisor of Truck Drivers will lead a team of 11‑15 drivers, ensuring safe and efficient operations for Compass Transport Ltd. based in Calgary. This full‑time, permanent position involves overseeing daily activities, improving processes, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare production and other operational reports.
• Recommend and implement measures to improve work methods, productivity and product quality.
• Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend personnel actions.
• Train staff or arrange for training and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• Coordinate repairs, rentals and requisition of materials, equipment and supplies.
• Monitor driver performance and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and rentals.
• Oversee ordering of supplies and equipment.

Required profile

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility, strong organization and ability to work as a team player.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Required skills

• Class 1/1F/A licence for semi‑trailer trucks.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
