Supervisor, Quality Assurance Inspection

About the role

The Supervisor, Quality Assurance Inspection leads the QA inspection team for internal and external projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across locomotive, freight, and passenger services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, educate and develop a safe work environment while adhering to the collective agreement.
• Organize, prioritize and plan inspections in car shop, diesel shop, paint shop, etc., for various customers.
• Ensure work meets AAR, Transport Canada, and other applicable regulations.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
• Participate in health and safety investigations, Intelex observations and inspections.
• Act as first point of contact for QA inspector team concerns or complaints.
• Review customer scopes, develop ITPs and propose updates to procedures, work instructions and forms.
• Support equipment/gauge calibration processes and incoming inspection documentation.
• Coordinate daily operations, prioritize tasks and communicate with customers on project status.
• Monitor training documentation, forecast future training needs and prepare for audits.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and supervise Quality Assurance inspectors.
• Strong knowledge of AAR and Transport Canada regulations.
• Experience in planning and executing inspections in rail‑related environments.
• Commitment to health, safety and company policy compliance.
