Strategist – Client Services

About the role

Business Link Alberta is a government‑funded not‑for‑profit that supports entrepreneurs across Alberta. The Strategist reports to the Manager, Client Service and provides client‑centered guidance to help entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. Through one‑on‑one engagements the role builds capability, confidence and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored one‑on‑one services, conduct needs assessments and guide clients through programs, funding and ecosystem resources.
• Facilitate workshops, webinars and presentations to support entrepreneurial learning.
• Capture client interactions in CRM systems, identify trends and provide insights for program improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners, community organisations and Indigenous and rural networks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree in Business or related field, or business diploma with at least two years relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of small business and entrepreneurship; lived entrepreneurial experience is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills; public speaking experience is a plus.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is an asset.
