Strategic Sourcing Analyst

About the role

Join Sobeys' Strategic Sourcing team as an Analyst and turn complex data into actionable insights that drive cost savings and category growth. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners to support strategic decision‑making across Canada’s leading grocery retail network.

Key responsibilities

• Translate spend and sales data into clear recommendations and develop dashboards and reports for strategic sourcing performance.
• Analyze market share, sales trends, and spend data to identify cost‑reduction opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Enhance reporting, automation, and analytics capabilities to improve efficiency and insight generation.
• Partner with internal teams to shape and execute category strategies that boost sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct product and market analyses to monitor trends, spot innovation opportunities, and assess risks.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a compelling, data‑driven manner.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a DEC with at least 4 years.
• Experience supporting sourcing, procurement, or supply‑chain functions is an asset.
• Proven ability to analyze data and deliver actionable business insights.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI and other analytics tools.
• Working knowledge of SAP data environments (e.g., SAP BW, S/4HANA).
