Strategic Deals Lead, Cloud Compute

About the role

As a Strategic Deals Lead you will shape Anthropic’s long‑term AI infrastructure strategy, originate and close capacity agreements, and manage relationships across the emerging compute ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of compute capacity across the integrated cloud ecosystem.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with commercial, finance and legal counterparts at providers.
• Lead the full deal lifecycle for capacity agreements, from engagement through negotiation, structuring and closing.
• Apply capital‑markets and finance expertise to evaluate deal economics, counter‑party risk and financing components.
• Partner with infrastructure and technical teams to translate compute requirements into commercial terms and long‑term supply strategies.
• Develop and maintain market intelligence on cloud and integrated compute landscape, pricing dynamics and competitive positioning.
• Represent Anthropic with corporate executives, investment banks and infrastructure investors.
• Drive internal alignment on transaction terms, risk parameters and strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Background in investment banking.
• Experience structuring and negotiating complex transactions.
• Ability to work independently on an active pipeline from day one.
