Client Accounting Coordinator

About the role

The Client Accounting Coordinator manages an assigned portfolio of client programs, acting as the primary accounting contact for loss fund activity, financial reporting, and program‑related support. The role ensures accurate, timely, and well‑documented accounting processes from program setup through ongoing transaction management.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of client programs, handling day‑to‑day accounting queries and issue resolution.
• Coordinate new bank account openings, support program setup in the CRM, and maintain accurate client and program data.
• Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and ad‑hoc financial reports covering loss fund balances, claim payments, funding needs, and other metrics.
• Monitor loss fund balances and claim activity to request additional funds or return excess funds to clients.
• Submit client funding requests based on claim volume, payment activity, and projected cash needs.
• Process daily accounting transactions in the CRM, including void checks, payment corrections, and escheatment activities.
• Participate in bank reconciliation, researching reconciling items and communicating variances.
• Support client audits by gathering and providing documentation related to loss fund activity and financial reporting.
• Maintain regular communication with claims management to ensure timely payments and avoid penalties.

Required profile

• Experience managing client accounting programs and loss fund activity.
• Ability to prepare detailed financial reports and funding requests.
• Strong coordination skills with banking partners and internal teams.
• Familiarity with audit support and documentation processes.
