Specialty Pharma Registered Nurse (Infusion)

About the role

The Specialty Pharma Registered Nurse delivers and monitors specialized infusion, injectable or oral pharmacological treatments in patients' homes or clinic settings. Working under the Specialty Pharma Supervisor or Nurse Manager, you will ensure patient safety, document procedures accurately, and report any adverse events promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review individualized nursing care plans.
• Conduct patient health assessments and provide medication teaching.
• Obtain IV access via peripheral IV, PICC, or IVAD lines.
• Prepare and administer specialized intravenous or injectable therapies.
• Observe, assess, and document patient conditions, reporting adverse events per pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Perform routine nursing duties in line with company policies and provincial standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date medication and pharmacovigilance training.
• Complete any additional duties as requested.

Required profile

• BSN degree or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial nursing regulatory body.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required for clinic work).
• Experience in acute care and/or administering specialty pharmaceutical treatments.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy training is an asset; candidates must obtain required certifications if not already held.
