Solids Control Field Technician (Remote, Canada)

About the role

Stage 3 is seeking a Solids Control Field Technician to support drilling operations across Canada. You will receive on‑the‑job training on specialized mud‑system equipment and work 12‑hour rotational shifts (14 days on, 7 days off) at remote project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down solids control equipment such as shaker tanks, centrifuges, drying units and pumps.
• Perform fluid analysis (weight, viscosity, retort) and monitor drilling fluid properties.
• Execute solids control services including air drilling, barite recovery, de‑watering, fluid transfers and cuttings drying.
• Carry out routine mechanical and basic electrical maintenance on equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery and pressure‑washing equipment safely.
• Complete daily PJRA/JSA, inspection reports, observation checklists and adhere to PPE and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts and travel to remote locations across Canada.
• Ability to learn and follow technical procedures under supervision.
