Software Engineer – New Graduate (Hybrid, Vancouver)

About the role

Join nexthopai, an AI infrastructure startup building systems for large‑scale AI deployments. As a new‑grad Software Engineer you will work on design, implementation, testing and peer review of software solutions in a hybrid setting in the Lower Mainland.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of software engineering, from design and implementation to testing and peer review.
• Collaborate with engineers to build and optimise core systems.
• Support customers through project scoping, proof‑of‑concept, early trials and production escalation.
• Help shape startup culture, challenge existing processes and influence the company’s future direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with internship experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and quick learning aptitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Confidence to ask questions and take ownership of projects.
