Data Scientist

About the role

OpusClip is seeking a product‑oriented Data Scientist to own critical metric definitions, improve data quality, and translate complex product and customer data into actionable business decisions. You will work closely with Product, Finance, and AI teams to ensure reliable reporting and guide investment priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen data quality and metric governance by validating reporting tables, establishing clear metric definitions, and monitoring for anomalies.
• Lead product and business analysis, including post‑launch feature evaluations, adoption funnels, retention, segmentation, and LTV studies.
• Partner with Finance to validate reporting logic, investigate discrepancies, and communicate data limitations.
• Support AI teams with data curation, measurement design, model evaluation, and experimentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or a closely related field.
• Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, cohort analysis) and strong Python proficiency for analysis and automation.
• Experience defining and governing metrics, validating data pipelines, and working with event‑level analytics platforms.
