Software Engineer – Automotive Lending Technologies

About the role

Join a purpose‑driven, high‑performing team that supports automotive lending applications for a major Canadian bank. As a full‑stack Software Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain critical banking systems while driving modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Document and support existing applications and systems.
• Provide technical design guidance and best‑practice recommendations aligned with the bank’s technology roadmap.
• Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and implementation of applications and scripts.
• Participate in effort estimation, planning, and regular code reviews.
• Lead code deployment to production and manage production issue analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Assist product owners and business analysts in understanding current system behavior and suggest improvements.
• Drive cloud migration, micro‑services, API enablement, and automation projects.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to troubleshoot independently.
• Experience working on both agile and waterfall projects.
• Ability to collaborate with technology peers, business clients, and operations teams on multiple concurrent projects.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, challenging environment with a proactive learning attitude.
