Site Supervisor

About the role

The Site Supervisor will lead daily construction activities on Mavcor Inc. projects in Ottawa. This contract position requires on‑site presence to coordinate trades, ensure safety, and keep the project on schedule and within quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and direct subcontractors and site staff throughout the construction phase.
• Monitor progress against plans, specifications, and the project schedule.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to verify compliance.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, daily reports, and progress tracking.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct site inspections, and address safety concerns.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, clients, and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Ensure the worksite remains clean, organized, and compliant with quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction sites in industrial, commercial, or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills for guiding site teams.
• Valid safety certifications such as WHMIS, fall protection, and first aid.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Ottawa under varying weather conditions.
