Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

This position is for a Site Reliability Engineer based in Canada, working within a fast‑growing technology environment that builds secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining large‑scale cloud environments, supporting internal teams, and driving operational excellence across mission‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain multi‑account AWS environments, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud‑based systems and services for internal stakeholders.
• Design and implement infrastructure‑as‑code solutions to automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance, proactively identifying risks and improving reliability.
• Develop automation tools, scripts, and processes to reduce manual intervention.
• Ensure cloud environments comply with security standards, internal policies, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on new cloud initiatives and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation, respond to incidents, and drive post‑incident improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux/UNIX systems administration and production infrastructure management.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and cloud‑native technologies.
• Experience managing multi‑account AWS environments and using AWS Control Tower for governance.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go).
• Proven experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
