Sewer Construction Foreman/Woman

About the role

Ray Contracting Ltd is seeking an experienced Sewer Construction Foreman (male or female) to lead on‑site activities in North Vancouver. You will oversee excavation, grading, and paving work while ensuring safety and productivity on a demanding, outdoor construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily work activities with other supervisors and managers.
• Supervise crews of 1‑10 workers, including heavy‑equipment operators, labourers, and trade helpers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Monitor excavation work to protect underground utilities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, product quality, and work methods.
• Prepare production reports, requisition materials, and manage site documentation.
• Train staff or arrange training as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in construction site supervision, preferably in sewer or underground work.
• WHMIS certification and ability to pass security clearance, criminal record check, and drug test.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle for site travel.
• Ability to work under pressure, in noisy, dusty, and odorous outdoor conditions.
• Strong communication skills in English.
