Senior Landscape Carpenter

About the role

Houston Landscapes Ltd. is looking for an experienced Senior Landscape Carpenter to lead carpentry work on landscape construction projects in North Vancouver, BC. This full‑time permanent role offers $37‑$40 per hour and a supportive benefits package.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches and building plans to determine layout, dimensions and required materials.
• Lead construction of decks, garden walls, walkways, stairs, retaining walls, water features and other outdoor structures.
• Inspect existing structures and perform repairs or replacements using hand and power tools.
• Measure, cut and shape materials to specifications with a focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Provide guidance and technical direction to labourers and entry‑level carpenters.

Required profile

• Secondary school completion and a valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Minimum 4 years of carpentry experience or equivalent training.
• Strong manual dexterity, ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights or in confined, noisy, dusty conditions.
• Capability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and adapt to various weather conditions.
