About the role
This position involves teaching the course “The Tobacco Industry Playbook” to undergraduate students. The lecturer will guide students through the historical evolution, business strategies, and political tactics of the global tobacco industry, with a focus on Europe and Eurasia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver in‑person lectures and seminars on the tobacco industry’s history and contemporary practices.
- Design course materials, case studies, and assessment tools for a class of approximately 25 students.
- Facilitate class discussions, encourage critical reflection, and provide feedback on assignments.
- Stay current with scholarly research and policy developments related to tobacco control and related industries.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Required profile
- Minimum of five years of university‑level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in the history, economics, or public‑health aspects of the tobacco industry, particularly in Europe and Eurasia.
- Ability to teach in an in‑person classroom setting on Tuesdays from 1‑3 pm.
- Strong communication skills and capacity to engage undergraduate students.
