Service Center Technician

About the role

EnerSys is seeking a Service Center Technician to support daily shop and warehouse operations, maintain and repair stored‑energy products, and assist the service and technical teams. The role provides hands‑on training, so prior technical experience is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Support shop and warehouse organization, staging, and housekeeping.
• Assist with shipping and receiving, preparing documentation and verifying shipments.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer equipment, including cleaning and neutralizing batteries.
• Perform discharge test evaluations using meters and testing equipment (training provided).
• Install and remove motive‑power batteries, replace defective parts, reassemble batteries, and add acid or water as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Conduct inspections, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate service, inventory, and shipping records using company systems.
• Follow safety, environmental, and transportation guidelines and keep the work area clean.
• Adhere to company policies related to safety, quality, and compliance.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support the team.
