SEO Director

About the role

Domaine, a leading Shopify design and development partner, is looking for an experienced SEO Director to own and expand its SEO practice across a portfolio of high‑profile ecommerce brands. This senior, strategic position offers full autonomy to shape the SEO function, drive innovation, and build a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute SEO & GEO strategy for retainer clients, site migrations, and ad‑hoc projects.
• Conduct technical SEO audits, diagnose issues, and provide remediation specs for engineering.
• Set content strategy, collaborate on editorial planning, and review content before publication.
• Lead AI Search and LLM visibility initiatives, including cited page tracking and conversational content frameworks.
• Manage client communication, reporting, KPI dashboards, and proactive performance monitoring.
• Oversee SEO aspects of site migrations: URL mapping, redirects, metadata, schema, robots.txt, and sitemap guidance.
• Scale and improve existing practice infrastructure, tooling, and templates.
