Senior Software Engineer, Mobile

About the role

VIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in mobile development to design and deliver highly secure native applications for iOS and Android. You will work on a mission‑critical platform that combines speed, privacy, and resilience, supporting government agencies, enterprises, and humanitarian initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end development, testing, and deployment of native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) applications.
• Maintain performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compatibility across a wide range of devices and OS versions.
• Architect and implement security‑focused features using native mobile security frameworks, Secure Enclave (or equivalents), and basic cryptography.
• Integrate VIA’s backend micro‑services and secure APIs into the mobile app logic.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, and define mobile development best practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to deliver seamless, reliable user experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience shipping native mobile applications.
• Demonstrated expertise with Kotlin Multiplatform, Swift, and Android development.
• Hands‑on experience with native mobile security features and secure data handling.
