Senior Research Coordinator – Mental Health Systems

About the role

The Department of Psychiatry at UBC is seeking a Senior Research Coordinator to lead digital mental health projects within the Mental Health Systems and Services Laboratory. The role combines research oversight, team supervision, and stakeholder consultation to advance mental health and substance‑use services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide research oversight for multiple mental‑health projects, ensuring methodological rigor and timely deliverables.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator to conceptualise, implement, and evaluate digital interventions.
• Supervise research assistants, associates, data analysts, and student volunteers.
• Serve as a technical consultant to health authorities, policy writers, and external partners.
• Maintain high‑quality research output and support knowledge translation activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in developing and designing digital mental‑health interventions.
• Strong background in public mental‑health issues and health‑systems research.
• Proven ability to supervise junior staff and manage interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with academic, clinical, and policy stakeholders.
