Health Care Aide – Full‑time Permanent Position

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Oyster Harbour Senior Community in Vancouver. You will provide personal care and support to residents in a nursing home environment, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cleaning, sterilising and setting up medical equipment.
• Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding residents.
• Supply and empty bedpans, weigh, lift, turn and position patients safely.
• Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• First Aid Certificate and Health Care Aide Certificate.
• Bondable with a clear criminal record check and up‑to‑date immunisation records.
• Ability to handle up to 23 kg (50 lb) and perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods.
• Client‑focused, dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced, pressure‑filled environment.
