Senior Project Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in delivering large‑scale commercial, civil and institutional construction projects in Toronto. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents and subcontractors, you will ensure project requirements—safety, quality, schedule, cost and communication—are met throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with price change orders, track RFIs, review and coordinate shop‑drawing approvals.
• Prepare and update project budgets, schedules and cost reports under the Project Manager’s direction.
• Participate in weekly subcontractor progress meetings, track progress and maintain the master schedule.
• Monitor productivity rates, compare planned versus actual performance, and align Superintendent look‑aheads.
• Support billing schedule setup, invoicing and subcontract management, including notification periods and value adjustments.
• Manage subcontractor submittals, payments, dispute resolution and performance evaluations.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively, maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants, trades and suppliers.
• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Eligibility for or possession of E.I.T., P.Eng., CET or PQS designation.
• 5‑7 years of hands‑on project coordination experience on large construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and client satisfaction.
