Senior Machine Learning Engineer – AI Generation Engine

About the role

SandboxAQ is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to own the end‑to‑end ML lifecycle for its AI Generation Engine (SAIGE). You will design, build, and deploy Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) and agentic frameworks, turning cutting‑edge research into real‑world MVPs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, and manage robust data pipelines for training, validation, and continuous retraining of LQMs and agentic frameworks.
• Develop, implement, and rigorously test novel ML models and algorithms, defining metrics that align with product objectives.
• Clean, transform, and engineer features from large‑scale datasets to optimize model performance.
• Analyze model behavior, tune hyper‑parameters, and optimize architecture for efficiency, speed, and accuracy in production.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and software engineers to translate business goals into actionable ML roadmaps.

Required profile

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of post‑graduate experience in software development and building scalable ML systems.
• Proven track record of driving the full ML lifecycle from data exploration to production deployment.

Required skills

• Python (including PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, Pandas).
• Deep expertise in MLOps, CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking (Weights & Biases, MLflow), and version control for code and datasets.
• Experience with large‑scale data processing pipelines and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
