Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join Shah Trading Company Ltd.’s finance team in Scarborough. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will support the company’s finance transformation by delivering insightful financial reporting, analysis, and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and management reports; analyse results, trends and KPIs.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations and schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, intercompany balances, loan schedules and other key accounts.
• Assist with GST/HST filings, annual audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Document finance processes, identify automation opportunities and support finance transformation projects.
• Develop advanced Excel models, dashboards and business‑intelligence reports to enable data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with several years of progressive experience.
• Strong accounting fundamentals combined with analytical thinking and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Experience working beyond routine bookkeeping, contributing to modern, data‑driven finance functions.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range $80,000‑$90,000 CAD per year.
