Senior Engineer – Transportation Design & Project Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the planning and design of transportation and public‑works projects for our public‑sector clients. The role combines technical design, project management and mentorship within a collaborative, innovative engineering firm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design and project management services for highways, freeways, interchanges, streets, airports and related infrastructure.
• Prepare calculations, reports and technical documentation that are clear, concise and visual.
• Communicate with clients, agency staff and the public through workshops, presentations and stakeholder meetings.
• Interpret federal, state and local design standards and agency policies.
• Lead project teams, maintain budgets, schedule daily tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
• Mentor entry‑level engineers and promote a positive office culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• California Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• 10+ years of experience in transportation or public‑works design and construction.
• Proven project‑management experience on highway, roadway or airport projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
