Senior Business Analyst - HCM & Payroll Expert

About the Role

Join the One Government Experience (1GX) Center of Excellence within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation. As a Senior Business Analyst specializing in HCM and Payroll, you will play a pivotal role in supporting essential public services by ensuring the seamless execution of HR, payroll, and financial processes for the Government of Alberta.

Main Missions

• Act as the functional expert leading analysis and strategic projects related to 1GX operations and the production environment.
• Provide high-level support for the government ERP system, covering HCM, Payroll, Benefits Administration, and Employee Self-Service.
• Collaborate with the Process and Technology Excellence Service to support functional users in daily HR, payroll, finance, and supply chain operations.
• Oversee technical support aspects including interfaces, file batches, quality assurance, testing, and security/confidentiality.
• Contribute to Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), data integrity, and system solution updates.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, specifically within HCM and Payroll modules.
• Strong expertise in large-scale ERP environments (integrating GL, AP/AR, Budgeting, and Supply Chain).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and stimulating professional environment.
