Senior Accountant

About the role

Food Service Solutions is seeking a career‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. This position supports both U.S. and Canadian entities, handling P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow reporting while offering a path toward a Controller or Finance Director role.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and report monthly and quarterly financial results for the U.S. entity.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity with timely reconciliations.
• Develop and monitor weekly cash‑flow forecasts.
• Assist with month‑end close for U.S. and Canadian entities and manage intercompany transactions.
• Build reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, documentation, and process automation.
• Lead select audit preparation activities.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and service teams to provide financial insights.

Required profile

• CPA designation (Canada or U.S.).
• 3–5 years of private‑industry accounting experience, preferably in a mid‑sized, growth‑oriented business.
• Knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
