Senior Accountant

About the role

Perma-Pipe Canada, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Camrose, Alberta. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s overall financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, re‑classifications and variance analysis.
• Maintain general ledger schedules, balance‑sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation for financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports with commentary on performance drivers.
• Monitor, post and reconcile intercompany accounts and provide analysis for working capital and cash‑flow.
• Oversee inventory valuations, fixed‑asset schedules and capital‑project accounting.

Required profile

• Ability to reliably commute to Camrose, AB or relocate before start date.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday on‑site.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial close processes.
