Senior Accountant

About the role

OSI Maritime Systems is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the financial performance of its global maritime navigation business. The role focuses on financial accounting, monthly and year‑end close, and providing actionable insights through accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
• Support management reporting packages for senior leadership.
• Oversee accounts payable processes, wire transfer reviews, vendor set‑up and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Administer payroll reconciliation, vacation relief, Concur expense reporting and corporate credit cards.
• Assist with revenue recognition, contract asset/liability accounting and complex transaction memos.
• Review inventory reserves, excess & obsolete provisions, and ensure accurate costing.
• Prepare audit schedules, support external audit and tax engagements, and maintain internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements, support ERP (Epicor) enhancements and act as a subject‑matter expert for accounting queries.

Required profile

• CPA designation (or actively pursuing) required.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, project‑based or technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE principles related to revenue recognition, inventory costing, fixed assets and financial close.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically Epicor.
• Solid understanding of ASPE accounting standards.
