Senior 2D Artist – AI Workflows (12‑month contract)

About the role

Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior 2D Artist to explore and showcase AI‑enabled creative tools for concept art, textures, and materials. This 12‑month temporary position will be based in Vancouver (or Montreal) with a hybrid onsite/remote setup, allowing you to blend artistic expertise with cutting‑edge technology.

Key responsibilities

• Experiment with internal and external AI tools to generate high‑quality exploratory content.
• Evaluate output quality, controllability, and production viability of AI‑assisted workflows.
• Provide structured feedback and improvement recommendations to product and engineering teams.
• Produce comparative examples (before/after) that illustrate AI capabilities.
• Define quality benchmarks and create guides, walkthroughs, and documentation for AI‑assisted content creation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a 2D artist in a game development environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating concept art, texture, and material creation.
• Passion for innovation and willingness to experiment with emerging AI technologies.
• Ability to communicate technical feedback clearly to cross‑functional teams.
