Security Engineer

About the role

Datwyler is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen its cyber‑security posture across global operations. The role involves collaborating with suppliers, internal teams, and leading security initiatives for new projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with third‑party suppliers and local teams to align security measures.
• Identify and remediate cybersecurity gaps and drive continuous improvements.
• Represent the security function in project decisions, design and implement security solutions.
• Handle incidents, problems and change requests related to security.
• Learn, operate and enhance Datwyler’s security tools.
• Conduct proof‑of‑concepts for new security technologies.
• Produce documentation and user manuals for internal stakeholders.
• Assess security risks for new applications.
• Participate in penetration testing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a security engineer in large‑scale networks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH or CompTIA Security+.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical security concepts to non‑technical audiences.
