Satellite EPS Design Engineer – Power Systems

About the role

Our client seeks an experienced Electrical Power System Engineer to lead concept, detailed design, analysis, verification and integration of EPS subsystems for current and next‑generation remote sensing and communications satellites.

Key responsibilities

• Define EPS architecture, perform trade‑studies and generate system requirements and interface control documents.
• Size solar arrays, power‑conditioning units, batteries and distribution units; build high‑fidelity electrical models and conduct power‑budget, load‑flow and survivability analyses.
• Present technical status and risk analyses to senior management and coordinate with spacecraft bus teams.
• Author verification plans, support ground‑test campaigns, analyse test data and update design baselines.
• Mentor junior engineers, act as technical liaison with customers and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or Physics with 8+ years of EPS design experience on LEO/MEO platforms.
• Hands‑on ability to support system integration, test hardware and resolve issues with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Power‑electronics design and power‑management hardware.
• Electrical modeling, FMECA, power‑budget and thermal‑power coupling analysis.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA.
• Use of PLM environment for version control and design reviews.
