Materials Planner

About the role

The Materials Planner ensures timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations through effective MRP, ERP planning, and inventory optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain MRP within the ERP system to ensure timely material availability.
• Analyze production demand, inventory levels, planning parameters, and supplier lead times to create effective material plans.
• Maintain accurate ERP planning data, including lead times, safety stock, supplier information, and item master records.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize inventory while minimizing shortages and excess.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and NPI teams to support production requirements and new product launches.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively address material constraints.
• Analyze planning performance and recommend improvements to MRP processes and inventory management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in materials planning, MRP, supply planning, inventory management, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using ERP systems with MRP functionality (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).

Required skills

• NetSuite or comparable ERP system.
• Microsoft Excel.
