Production Assistant

About the role

The Production Assistant will work on the manufacturing line to assemble high‑quality components for patented lifesaving technology. You will join a skilled team, meet daily production targets, and help maintain the fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment at Smartrend Manufacturing Group.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components with precision using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure strict quality standards.
• Perform independent tasks while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Identify and report workflow issues and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Experience with fabrication and assembly in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical documentation.
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration and issue reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and production machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of electrical assembly techniques.
• Experience with gasketing or fine‑detail sealing methods (asset).
