Sanitation Technician – Packing Operations

About the role

The Packing Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the mushroom packing facility. This role focuses on daily cleaning and sanitizing of food‑contact equipment as well as non‑food contact areas, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize food‑contact equipment daily following proper procedures.
• Perform scheduled non‑routine cleaning of non‑food contact equipment and surrounding areas.
• Clean floors and peripheral surfaces as assigned.
• Execute non‑routine cleaning and sanitizing of equipment when required.
• Assist the QA Manager with additional cleaning tasks.
• Handle physical activities such as lifting, stacking, carrying, bending, pushing and pulling.

Required profile

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
• Previous experience in a similar sanitation role is preferred.
