Sales Manager – Small Group & Events

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead small‑group and event sales at the Marriott Château Champlain in downtown Montreal. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will drive revenue by managing group bookings of up to 49 rooms and coordinating events with up to nine rooms, across all market segments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle group and event inquiries, create customized proposals and secure bookings.
• Plan and execute all logistical aspects of events without guest rooms, including menu selection, room setup, audiovisual needs and billing.
• Maintain clear communication between clients and internal teams such as sales, marketing and operations.
• Oversee event execution to meet the hotel’s quality and service standards.
• Manage budgets for group and event services, ensuring efficient resource use.
• Collect and analyse client feedback to improve service delivery.
• Lead and mentor the group services team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events and sales blitzes.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar hospitality sales role.
• Bilingual – fluent in French and English (written and verbal).
• Strong knowledge of the tourism industry and hotel products.
• Degree in hospitality management is an asset.
