Roofer/Shingler

About the role

Penfolds Roofing & Solar is expanding its Production team in Coquitlam and is looking for a skilled Roofer/Shingler. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial roofs, helping to deliver high‑quality roofing and solar installations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect composition shingles, cedar shakes, built‑up and metal roofs for leaks.
• Remove existing roofing, install insulation, felts and perform necessary repairs.
• Install composition, slate, tile shingles and flashings.
• Apply cold‑process roof coatings and erect rigging as required.
• Determine material needs for repairs and new installations.
• Supervise laborers when assigned and ensure work follows OHS safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and adhere to all protective equipment requirements.

Required profile

• High school or vocational graduation.
• Hands‑on experience in roofing operations.
• Strong knowledge of roofing tools, equipment, materials and safety hazards.
• Ability to work at heights, on flat or inclined surfaces, and safely operate ladders and rigging.
• Capability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
