Rock Tools & Warehouse Technician

About the role

Sandvik Mining is looking for a Rock Tools Technician / Warehouse Technician to join its Wabush, NL site. The role combines hands‑on maintenance of rock‑drilling tools with core warehouse duties such as receiving, shipping and inventory control. You will support internal and external customers while ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage rock‑tools inventory, track issues, discards and losses.
• Repair and maintain rock‑tools to specifications, including CME grinding equipment and hammer rebuilds.
• Use the Rock Tools Management System to monitor performance and generate reports.
• Troubleshoot tooling problems and advise operators on proper usage.
• Receive, inspect, store and distribute materials; coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
• Process sales orders, invoices and maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts.
• Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn rock‑tools repair.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, mechanical or mining environment is an asset.
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures.
