About the role
We are seeking an experienced, mechanically‑inclined Shop & Equipment Technician to join our Red Deer location. The role involves a wide variety of hands‑on tasks in a shop environment, supporting fire‑protection and industrial services across Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Connect, tow and maneuver trailers, including gooseneck and up to 40‑foot units.
- Operate skid steers and forklifts confidently.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting and mechanical work.
- Complete general repairs, maintenance and miscellaneous shop tasks.
- Load, unload, move and organize equipment and materials.
- Carry out physically demanding work, regularly lifting 50–75 lb.
Required profile
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Minimum three years of relevant hands‑on experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work.
