Retail Store Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Retail Store Supervisor to lead our team at Tedds Food Mart & Esso Gas Bar in Olds, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth operation of the store, driving sales performance, and delivering a welcoming experience for customers. This position requires hands‑on leadership, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a diverse workforce across various shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assign sales workers to duties and establish work schedules.
• Hire, train, and coordinate staff development.
• Order merchandise and authorize returns.
• Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
• Resolve customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• Organize and maintain inventory.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in retail or a related field.
• Availability for shift, morning, evening, night, day, and weekend work.
• Strong communication skills and ability to resolve issues promptly.
