External Insurance Wholesaler - Quebec Territory

About the role

Manulife is looking for an External Insurance Wholesaler to serve the Quebec territory. The role is remote and involves building and supporting relationships with advisors and intermediaries, driving profitable business growth and promoting Manulife's life insurance, living benefit and critical illness and disability products.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage relationships with key advisors and intermediaries and act as a contact for resolving problems with them and individuals in the region.
• Identify opportunities and activities that generate profitable business growth, and develop and run regular business development plans.
• Hold dynamic sales meetings and seminars, and contribute new sales ideas and concepts to advisors.
• Maintain agreed face-to-face contact levels with regional advisors and record daily activities in the contact management system.
• Represent Manulife in the local financial community and build relationships with advisors and industry associations.
• Perform a front-line business risk management function by supporting compliance and company policies with advisors, including supervision of sales-related activities.

Required profile

• Previous industry sales experience.
• University degree or equivalent industry education.
• Knowledge of personal and corporate taxation and financial planning.
• Attained or working toward professional designations such as CLU, CFP and CHFC.
• Fully bilingual (French and English).
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory issues affecting the sale of life insurance and expert knowledge of Manulife individual insurance products.
• Strong knowledge of marketing concepts, product application and competitive positioning.
• Proposal writing, facilitation, presentation, negotiation and self-management skills.
