Internal Wholesaler, Canada Insurance

About the role

Manulife is looking for an Internal Insurance Wholesaler to partner with external wholesalers and drive growth in its Retail Markets business. You will work with external wholesalers to manage a regional sales territory, strengthen advisor relationships and grow sales of individual life and living benefits insurance. The role is hybrid, based in Vancouver, and is an existing vacancy.

Key responsibilities

• Proactive outbound calling to financial advisors to develop, maintain and expand current relationships and build new ones
• Meet daily targets for outbound "sales calls" and meetings booked
• Gather intelligence on an advisor's practice using a question-based selling model
• Deliver value-added products, service and advice, consulting with advisors and demonstrating the merits of Manulife products
• Run sales campaigns, identify top prospects and create execution plans
• Use Salesforce to create and maintain advisor profiles and data, and share leads and ideas with peers (10% of the role)
• Take part in Manulife's proprietary continuous training program

Required profile

• At least 2 years of insurance or sales experience
• Proven proactive sales success and experience cold calling
• LLQP designation preferred (or in process)
• College or university degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle, as occasional travel may be needed

Required skills

• Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel
• Multi-tasking, attention to detail and strong relationship-building skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
