About the role

Join Yummi Candles in Toronto’s Distillery District as a Retail Sales & Candle Workshop Associate. You will be the front‑line ambassador, guiding customers through our product range, delivering hands‑on candle‑making workshops, and ensuring a welcoming store environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and demonstrate candle‑making workshops, creating a fun and educational experience.
• Educate customers on candle care, safety, and product selection.
• Manage workshop logistics: set‑up, supply inventory, calendar bookings, and email communications.
• Conduct off‑site corporate events and festival workshops as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service on the sales floor, greet shoppers, and answer product questions.
• Operate cash registers, process transactions, and balance drawers.
• Create replenishment orders, receive deliveries, and maintain stock levels.
• Promote promotions, cross‑sell accessories, and encourage customer feedback.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, customer‑oriented personality with a passion for candles.
• Comfortable handling both retail duties and workshop facilitation.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Strong organizational skills for managing workshop schedules and inventory.

Required skills

• Experience operating cash registers and handling financial transactions.
• Basic inventory management and order‑taking abilities.
• Effective verbal communication for teaching workshops and assisting customers.
